    thats
    fast though

  • GarageDoorGeek:

Who needs cows. We just eat alot of beans and fart on it.

  • chicagolandhobby:

@GarageDoorGeek DARN!!!! the methane idea would’ve really worked! All we would need is a bunch of cows… (did you know they are the most contributor to the whole ozone layer stuff?)

  • sms373:

    Wayne dalton sucks period!

  • GarageDoorGeek:

No no no… we have to go with the latest trend.. it has to be green, which means it has to be powered by a water wheel, a wind mill, compressed air (with a solar compressor of course), or natural gas, and no I don’t mean farting on it.

  • jwatwater:

we need to call Genie… this idea is clearly a good one, unlike the majority of mine, like the V8 gassoline powered garage door opener.

  • GarageDoorGeek:

Does your neighbor’s remote open your door as well? What brand opener, what brand remote, and how old?

  • GarageDoorGeek:

We could even make them look like a section of the screw!

  • Jay6865:

ok I got a problem if any one can help me. Once I press the open button on the remote that goes with my car Our garage Door opens but OUR NEIGHBOR’S garage door opens TOO! CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!!???

  • jwatwater:

dude, we culd prbly make alot of money off of that idea…

  • GarageDoorGeek:

JW, can we say “Genie brand ear plugs”?

  • GarageDoorGeek:

There is a fix for this.
When this opener was installed, there should have been a piece of paper wrapped around the gear from the motor, then taped with thin tape. Over time, this paper will wear out.
It’s a matter of taking down the opener, removing the rail, and putting on a new piece, then put back together and re-install. I swear the manual I found said this.
This and the fact I just saw a newer version of this one less than 6 mo old burn out are why I avoid WD.

  • jwatwater:

Jesus Christ you guys its not THAT loud, now as for my Genie Pro Screw Drive…

  • IAmNotAFunguy:

What are the differences between this model, the Quantum model, and the Prodrive model? Also, Wayne Dalton makes good garage doors(mine is a Wayne Dalton) but they make crap openers. Go to Sears and get yourself a Chamberlain-built Craftsman(my opener is a 1998 Craftsman) or go for a LiftMaster. And stay away from the POS Wayne Dalton iDrive-go for the LiftMaster 3800.

  • sambass68:

    that thing is noise

  • GH3videos:

    WOW thats quiet!

  • roostermelo:

Classic drive is the cheaper version of their operator. The new prodrive and idrive are much quieter and are great machines. The idrive itself has one several awards.

  • beerorkid2:

    any specific reason why?

This is the uber econo version and yeah I had some issues, but works great for me.

  • smilendude:

    DONT BUY WAYNE DALTON PRODCUTS!

  • mikegeor:

u might want to get a new operner? It is really LOUD

  • mikeo2222:

WayneDalton has great garage doors, but there garage door openers are horrible…

  • glashard123:

That’s a contractors lowest price range of garage door and operator. Priced to help them compete in housing trac market. Not a good investment for a home owner that wants quality, long lasting reliabilty, and maximum safety.

  • lordg69:

They have come out with new openers that are suppose to be quieter, but the truth is that if you want a good opener, go down to sears and get one of theirs…or go with a Liftmaster.

  • wheeloffortunefan:

Well then, buy a belt motor!

  • v12345vtm:

is it a plane , or helicopter in the background?

  • tmonator:

Make sure to remove all ropes connected to the door while installing an opener. Prevents accidents.
